September is National
Library Card Sign-up Month and the The Smithtown Library is celebrating with a
new cardholders' raffle. All residents
who do not have a card are encouraged to sign up for a Library Card at any
branch of the Library. Getting a library
card is fast, easy and free. Adults must bring one item with their name and proof
of their current address, such as a driver's license or utility bill. Parents
will need to sign the registration form on behalf of children 6th
grade and younger. All new cardholders in September will be automatically
entered into a raffle to win a four (4) pack of tickets to AMC
Movie Theaters. One winner will be drawn from raffle entries on October 1, 2013. For more

The Children’s Department
will be hosting a Design a Children’s Library Card Contest. Young people under the age of 12 are
invited to submit designs for our new Children’s Library Card. Winning entry
will become our new district-wide Children’s Library Card. For more
