Longest Night Service

The holiday season is often very difficult for those
who have experienced loss and hard times during the previous year.
Yet the very message of Christmas is one of hope and comfort.  Is it
possible to experience joy even when you feel the grief of the death of a
loved one, the loss of a job, the worry and discouragement of an illness,
the disappointment of dreams abandoned?  A Longest Night service is an
opportunity to acknowledge the reality of life and thus be freer to
experience the joy that is the Christmas celebration.  You are invited
to join us for a very beautiful and moving Longest Night service on Saturday,
December 21th at 7:00 p.m. in the historic 1789 Chapel for Commack United
Methodist Church.  We are located at 486 Townline Road in Commack,
just north of Route 25 at Commack Road and the chapel is on the north side
of the property.  You can contact us at 499-7310 or check out our
website at www.commack-umc.org.
