Grab your dog's leash, its time to walk for a cause this Saturday.

The Smithtown-based Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind will host its second annual Wag 'N Walk this Saturday at The Rinx in Hidden Pond Park in Hauppauge.

This non-competitive, 2.5-mile fundraising dog walk invites residents to enjoy the fall scenery around Hidden Pond Park. Brian Kilcommons, a reknowned dog trainer will act as honorary host of Saturday's event.

"Thanks to an amazing network of generous donors including those participating in this event, the Guide Dog Foundation will not only raise funds to meet our mission”, said Wells B. Jones, CEO of the Guide Dog Foundation, “but we also expect to raise awareness and recognition for the community that we serve."

Participants and their dogs are invited to come dressed in costumes and enter the costume contest that will be part of the festivities. There will be door prizes and raffles available to support the Guide Dog Foundation and their mission of providing guide and service dogs free of charge to the people who are in need.

Registration for the walk costs $20 per an individual and $40 per a family, two adults and four children age 17 or under. Day of registration will start at 8 a.m., with the walk kicking off at 9:30 a.m.
