Smithtown DROPS The Ball in Snow removal

Eye on Smithtown... Insuring the town knows it's residents are keeping an eye on things so that they simply " do the right thing ".

This is being written in hopes that The " Patch "  sees its way clear to do the right thing. AND POST THIS.

Smithtown 's  response to the snow removal after this most terrible storm has been disgraceful.  Seems the head honchos in charge of this just hid out. I was able to take Many pictures  illustrating the Town's  lack of immediate respnsibility to the People who live here. SO many roads were neglected and went un plowed.  So many residents went abandoned. People who needed to see Doctors and couldn't get there...needed medicines and couldn't get them...who needed to look over their children's safety and couldn't. who needed to go to work and make some money couldn't  move their cars from their own roads to the cleared ones.

No matter what they tell you at the Highway Dept.  dont believe it!  They Failed and failed horribly. AND they will be held accountable. Please remember this episode and get to the polls and remove them Alot faster than they removed your Snow.

We can all make a statement one way or another when we vote. However, that statement should be madeRead More on a state level not the local level. Boards of Ed are powerless to do any real cost cutting. The state needs to take this on. We need real reform in Albany to reduce the ever increasing pensions and life long benefits that educators enjoy. Combine this with letting Albany decide salary increases for all educators and we can guaranty tax reductions over the next few years. Its that simple, Boards cannot do these. Lets get Albany to move on these NOW!
