JWG's Grand Hodgepodge — Aloha & Sustenance (2 poems)

Wherein JWG conquers anxiety with Aloha.

20. Aloha

Aloha
Is, simply, the best word I have to help
Get me through the days.

We all require help
When we are in a group, or, when alone.
There’s no shame in this knowledge.

Stamping on the doubt within,
We are capable of an inner smile
That can radiate like a beacon.

Understanding how to be alone

With Nature embracing each move we make
Is, for me, an important lesson I learned.

I profess, this can’t be taught.
How often I say: Sharing is Caring.
With each breath, I remember these words.

In my caring World,
We’re all here sharing Nature together.
We are all a shining light.

As we glow,
I hope we come to the same conclusion.
Aloha is Ours.

21. Sustenance

Sustenance
Is more than putting food in your stomach.
It is Food for Thought.

For words to ponder,
Peruse some bookshelves, take down any book,
Thumb through the pages, and Read.

A Galaxy that is new
Faintly gleams in the faraway darkness
That we didn’t wish to navigate.

Comfort of living with what we know
Becomes old and starves the mental landscape
Which constantly seeks nourishment to function.

Conquering anxiety
Is the blast that boosts us into a realm
Of perpetual understanding.

Space between letters
Has infinitesimal elements
Soothing possibility.

Contemplate
These words which I have placed in emptiness.
Sustain aging brains.

Just a short thought to get the word out quickly about anything in your neighborhood.
Share something with your neighbors. Write a new post... What's up? Make an announcement, speak your mind, or sell something

With the budget "we" just passed? That can't be!

"Why are Smithtown teachers continuing to pay for school supplies out of their ownRead More pocket?" Since when? Ever see the big list of supplies kids get in their folders at the end of the year for them to bring in next year? I think you're talking about the wrong school district.
