JWG's Tomorrow Today — The Prejudice (a poem)

Wherein JWG witnesses ignorance transformed to hate for the unknown.

The Prejudice

Waiting for Gay Pride March to start
With a crowd of zealous strangers,
I am silent with no reason.
I’m a sponge soaking up the new
Experience in a new town.

Someday, this will be old.
Each Town will celebrate
Like The Fourth of July.
I hope I live to see
This outpouring of Love.

The prejudice
I have witnessed
Is ignorance
Transformed to hate
For the unknown.

With the budget "we" just passed? That can't be!

"Why are Smithtown teachers continuing to pay for school supplies out of their ownRead More pocket?" Since when? Ever see the big list of supplies kids get in their folders at the end of the year for them to bring in next year? I think you're talking about the wrong school district.
