Thinking of Art
Folk Art is the inspiration
To go home and begin a craft
That when finished makes you happy.
Even if you don’t share the work,
The accomplishment is a treat.
One’s efforts were pooh-poohed
By those who claimed that “Art”
Had to have refinement.
Many a hope was dashed
And never recovered.
Thinking of Art,
And not doing,
Is a pity.
A true Artist
Will have the drive.
