My Social Media Tips...for today.

SOCIAL MEDIA...Don't be a wimp...try it out! People don't understand FB and Twitter so they don't use it.  My advice, sit back and watch...then participate.  Saying you don't get get it is a bit like 90 years ago when people probably were saying "this thing...the phone...I don't get it."  Social Media is big...and not a fad, don't let it pass you by.

Tip number 2: Don't hide...especially from unhappy customers.  If someone complains or has something negative to say, be present to answer.  Yes, it's time consuming but answering every message, posts or questions builds relationships, which can equate to GREAT customer service.

Tip number 3: Don't babble about yourself!  If you're self serving, you're going to miss the point about what social media is about.  About 80% of what we say on Twitter and Facebook isn't self promotional.  Do some quizzes, ask questions and be irreverant.  There's more to having a conversation than just promoting your product.
