As a resident of Smithtown for over 11 years, I have always questioned a section of road on 25A.
There is a turn off of 25A onto Nissequogue River Road that runs along the cemetery across the street from the Smithtown Main Library. That same piece of road is used to make a left onto 25A from Nissequogue River Road. There are no street signs or road markings to indicate if this road accommodates two way traffic. I'm not even sure there is enough room for two cars to pass each other. Is this a head on collision waiting to happen?
