Just as we posted for 2012 Kitchen Trends, we felt it was necessary to reveal some of the most popular 2012 bathroom trends as well.

Just as we posted for 2012 Kitchen Trends, we felt it was necessary to reveal some of the most popular 2012 bathroom trends as well.  It’s important to take note of remodeling trends and this year we’ve witnessed an intriguing combination of luxury with functionality. The wide variety of options and price ranges make it possible to satisfy every need and budget.

Natural color stands strong
Nature continues to inspire the detail and paint color of homes in 2012. In terms of a color palette, think muted blues, moody grays, and saturated neutrals and greens with brownish undertones. A new deep reddish orange color has also been popping up a lot lately in attempts to create a bold yet sophisticated look.

Polished fixtures shine
Polished chrome as a finish creates that classy appearance which complements a wide variety of fixture styles and types of décor. Polished nickel is a sophisticated look that can add warmth and elegance to a bathroom no matter the size or color.

Tile does the trick
The right combination of bathroom décor and appropriate tile can make your bathroom seem even more impressive and luxurious than the cost would tell you.  Specific designs in tiles have fueled the popularity of tile showers, tile floors, and tile backsplashes in the bathroom.  It may be wise to invest a little more in this area to help make your bathroom’s appearance really pop.

Barrier free showers on the rise
Lately, many people are starting to realize it’s unnecessary to have a door in their showers.  Trend-setting homeowners now include a barrier free shower in their bathroom remodeling plans.  Other than the new open look your giving the space, there is also less upkeep without shower doors to clean.  The refreshing aesthetic beauty that it adds to the space is also greatly admired by customers.

Comforting warmth is trending
Even those in denial at first become believers after experiencing the comfort of a heated bathroom floor. Another reason heated floors are favored by consumers is it makes water evaporate quickly. A programmable thermostat keeps floors warm at the right times to remain energy efficient in your home.

Medicine cabinets back on the rise
A few years ago the overly common medicine cabinet feature fell out of favor in bathroom remodeling plans. However this year they’re making a comeback due to new stylish, space-saving models that have become available. New medicine cabinets can be customized with built-in lighting, night light features and even flat-screen TV’s for those willing to pay for it.

Bathroom trends can and will continue to change from year to year, but a keen eye can find the ones that have the right taste and lasting qualities to have for years to come.  Feel free to visit our website, www.NDAKITCHENS.com to check out all our bathroom projects and the features that we have to offer.

This should not be a problem getting passed. It is across from the hospital there is a nursing homeRead More near by. We need more nursing homes as there are no beds available for our aging population. If you want to stay here near your family as you age and need a nursing home in the future, let them build this. You do not want to go outside of Smithtown and live in nursing homes out of this area - trust me, they are not nice! It is a fact of life, we are all going to be there one day- at least have a say in it and have them build one for our future needs. They do not have much noise or activity- really. Plus they will bring jobs to our area.
