A Bridge for Breast Cancer Survivors

Getting together with other breast cancer survivors can be one of the best ways to cope with post-treatment concerns. Connecting with others who have similar experiences also helps breast cancer survivors look ahead toward the future.

Bridge to Survivorship is a free series for breast cancer patients who have finished active treatment and seek information and support to help them on their new journey. It is hosted by the Monter Cancer Center (Conference Room) at 450 Lakeville Rd. in Lake Success. Preregistration is required, so please email me to join us for an evening of learning and sharing.

  • March 4, 6:30 to 8 p.m.–Survivorship after Breast Cancer: Ways to Stay Heart Healthy, featuring Stacey Rosen, MD, vice president of women’s health in the Katz Institute for Women’s Health of the North Shore-LIJ Health System.
  • May 6, 6:30 to 8 p.m.–Let’s Discuss Sexuality in the Breast Cancer Survivor, featuring Candace Schiffer, RN, NP, from the Monter Cancer Center.
  • July 1, 6:30 to 8 p.m.–Nutrition and the Breast Cancer Survivor, featuring Hillary Murray, RD, oncology nutritionist at the Monter Cancer Center.
