Former Smithtown resident Bernard Kaplan has died. He was 93 years old.
According to a The Miami Herald obituary, Kaplan, who lived in North Palm Beach, Fl, passed away on March 18. Kaplan was the husband to the late Rhoda; father of Jack and Jill Rakoff; grandfather of Beryl Rakoff Narozny, the late Ross Rakoff, Paul, and Lisa Gitlin. He is survived by his brother Theodore and six great grand-children.
The obituary states donations could be made to the Southern Poverty Law Center, located at 400 Washington Ave. in Montgomery, Al.
