Former Smithtown resident Ethel Volz has died. She was 94 years old.
According to a Hartford Courant obituary, Volz passed away on March 15. Volz was born in Smithtown and married her husband, Lawrence, also from Smithtown, who passed away in 1971. Ethel and Lawrence moved to Newington, NH where they owned the River Bend Motel.
Volz is survived by her daughter, Laurie Volz Lynch, and her son, Lawrence.
