Michael Shotts, Lacrosse Coach, Dies

Shotts was 46 years old.

Local lacrosse coach Michael Shotts has died. He was 46 years old.

According to a Newsday obituary, Shotts, a Smithtown resident, passed away Aug. 27. Shotts is survived by his wife Kathleen; two sons Brett and Luke; and sister Paula Snyder.

A service will be held for Shotts on Thursday at Moloney's Hauppauge Funeral Home, located at 840 Wheeler Road, at 8 p.m., according to the Moloney's website. The funeral is set for Friday at 10 a.m. at the Hauppauge Rural Cemetery. Visiting times are set for Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

"Why are Smithtown teachers continuing to pay for school supplies out of their ownRead More pocket?" Since when? Ever see the big list of supplies kids get in their folders at the end of the year for them to bring in next year? I think you're talking about the wrong school district.
