Former St. James transplant Thomas Litwin by way of Flusing, Queens, has died.
Litwin, who passed away April 1, was a graduate of Stuyvesant High School and Fordham University, served in the Army Air Corps and was a WWII Veteran, was active in St. Kevin’s Church in Flushing and Troop & Pack #272. He was the husband of Joan; father of Patricia, Thomas Jr., William, Paul and Peter; the grandfather of seven grandchildren; and the brother of Genevieve Metz.
Friends may visit the South Chapel of the St. James Funeral Home, located at 829 Middle Country Road in St. James on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m., and Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass is set for Friday at 11 a.m. at Sts. Philip & James R.C. Church, with the interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
