BACKYARD BURNING ILLEGAL

BACKYARD BURNING IS ILLEGAL IN SMITHTOWN and yet my neighbor continues to burn and SMOKE me out. I was told to video and take pictures and submit to law officials which I am doing. Yesterday he burned all day and the smoke was horrible. Why should I be forced to inhale this smoke in the privacy of my backyard and home?  He was warned, and he knows that there is hefty fine if he gets caught. Now that I am gathering my pictures and dates I will be dropping it all on the Fire Marshalls desk.  He thinks because he is burning in a brick bbq that it is okay but according to the fire marshall, NO BURNING of wood or brush allowed at all in Smithtown I don't care where he burns it - bbq are for food and if he is not cooking food he is wrong and he will get fined. I heard the fines can range from $1,500 - $5,000  for each offense.  I don't like the smell in my house- and I am forced to close my windows and not sit on my deck.  If the situation was reversed he would be the first one in my face telling me he didn't like it.... Well, now I have proof, and he will be getting a visit from the fire marshall, he cannot deny it because they will have photos and videos of him burning and the 3' high flames and smoke that shoot up into the air. FD is not happy about this ---  I am also going to video when he gets arrested!!!
