OUTSIDE BURNING/FIRES ARE ILLEGAL IN SMITHTOWN

It's getting warm and the smell of smoke is once again in the air.
Where?  From my next door neighbor's yard - burning his twigs, brush and whatever he finds in his yard.  The thick smoke just finds its way into my house and my house smells of smoke!  I am forced to keep my windows closed, and sometimes even leave the house for a few hours because I can still smell the smoke.  Yes you might ask, have I asked him not to do this   of course I have. But he says he likes it and it kills the mosquitoes!  I much rather buy him a bug zapper!  I don't know what else to do.  I have contacted the town and was told that they will come and issue him a summons if I report him again.  I have taken photos of the burning fire in his outdoor fireplace. Town officials said that it does not matter where he is burning,  in the Town Of Smithtown there is no outdoor burning allowed...period, even in an enclosed fire pit or fireplace.   So I am in the process of making out a formal complaint and the town officials will take it from here.
