Route 347 Project Progress: NYS DOT Communication Breakdown

As a resident living right near the area of work known as "Phase 2" of the Route 347 revamp, I think the NYS DOT does a horrendous job of keeping the public informed of progress.

To the naked eye, all I can see is destroyed trees on the south side of this area where the proposed noise barrier walls are to go, and construction barriers creating narrow, dangerous lanes on the north side.

If there has been serious progress made, it isn't apparent, but how would I know? The Website the DOT cites, http://www.ny347.org, is woefully outdated.
