Will You Donate Food to the Hungry for the Holidays? [Poll]

While some families will halve massive feasts on Thanksgiving, others don't have the means to do so – so where do you go to donate food?

With Thanksgiving a little more than one week away, people are stocking up on all the food items necessary for a wonderful holiday feast – but the harsh reality is that many people on Long Island will go hungry on Thanksgiving.

The collects donations all year round, and various businesses and schools throughout the community regularly feature donation boxes, which get picked up or brought to a donation center before the holidays.

We'd like to know if you plan on donating food items to help the hungry during the holiday season. Please feel free to let us know in the comments. Also, suggestions on local businesses accepting donations are welcome below.

Editor's Note: and it was one of the most rewarding experiences I've had in years. With the holidays approaching I hope to volunteer (and donate) there once again.
