A two-car accident closed a section of Woodlawn Avenue Monday afternoon.
A Suffolk County Police officer at the scene said the white Dodge Caravan and gray Pontiac Grand Prix were driving in opposite directions on Woodlawn Avenue when they sideswiped each other.
The call of the accident came in at 3:26 p.m., according to police, and it closed Woodlawn Avenue from Tredwell Avenue to St. James Avenue North.
The officer at the scene said members from both vehicles were taken to St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center.
The road has reopened by time of publication.
