Cops: Drunk Driver Caught Going 60 mph on Main Street

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Jullianna Pettick Perez, 19, of Sayville, was arrested on Jan. 1 on one misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated - first offense. Police said Pettick Perez was driving a 2006 Honda Accord northbound on Hawkins Road, attempting to turn at the intersection of Middle Country Road in Lake Grove. She failed to maintain her lane during the turn, according to police, who pulled her over and determined she was intoxicated. 

Kenneth O`Connor, 55, of Central Islip, was arrested on Dec. 31 on one misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated - first offense. O`Connor was driving a gray 2000 Toyota Camery on Route 111 in Smithtown when he failed to signal to make a turn onto Nesconset Highway, according to police. Officers pulled over O`Connor and administered tests to determine he was intoxicated. 

Taha Choonawala, 24, of Nesconset, was arrested on Dec. 28 on one misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated - first offense. Police said Choonawala was driving a 2008 Honda at more than 60 miles per hour along Smithtown's East Main Street at 3 a.m. without any license plates on the car and without a driver's side mirror. Choonawala was pulled over by police for speeding, where cops determined he was intoxicated.
