Cops: Three Drunk Drivers Pulled Off Smithtown Roads on Thanksgiving

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Erik Nielsen, 24, of Ronkonkoma, was arrested on Nov. 30 in Nesconset and faces one misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicate - first offense. Police said Nielsen was driving a 2012 Honda Civic on Smithtown Boulevard in Nesconset when he crashed into another motor vehicle. Officers responding to the scene noticed he had glassy eyes and smelled of alcohol. 

Ryan Nembach, 19, of Smithtown, was arrested on Nov. 28 and faces misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated - first offense and one misdemeanor count for unlawful possession of marijuana. Nembach was driving a Nissan Rogue along Brooksite Drive in Smithtown at 12:20 a.m. on Nov. 28 when he crashed into a utility pole at Brooksite Drive and Main Street. Officers responding to the scene determined he was under the influence of alcohol.

Victor Iacono, 20, of Smithtown, was arrested on Nov.28 and charged with one misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicated - first offense. Police said Iacono was driving a 2014 Volkswagon northbound on Old Willets Path in Smithtown at 3:55 a.m. on Nov. 28 using the southbound lane, driving on the wrong side of the road. 

Carlos Guillen, 25, of Huntington Station was arrested on Nov. 28 in Smithtown and faces one misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated. Guillen was driving a 2001 Nissan along Route 347 in Smithtown, according to police, when he was pulled over for a traffic stop and found to be intoxicated. 

Steven Rosenberg, 56, of Smithtown was arrested on Nov. 30 in Setauket and faces one felony count of driving while intoxicated with two previous convictions in the past 10 years. Police said Rosenberg was driving a 2014 Kia on North Country Road when he turned right on red without yielding to oncoming traffic. He was pulled over for a traffic stop where police determined Rosenberg was intoxicated.
