Crime Report: Harassment, Resisting Arrest
The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Suffolk County Police Department Fourth Precinct reported these arrests and incidents in Smithtown during Nov. 10 - 17.
Jonathon Knapp, 54, of St. James was arrested Nov. 17 in St. James and charged with second degree harrassment. Reports indicate Knapp allegedly grabbed a female victim by the neck, slapped her across the face and pushed her up against a wall.
Francesco Giaramida, 29, of Huntington Station was arrested Nov. 16 in Smithtown and charged with fourth degree grand larceny. Giaramida is accused of using a credit card from a stolen wallet at two gas stations and a motel.

Anthony Lucente, 22, of Smithtown was arrested Nov. 16 in Smithtown and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest. Lucente is accused of possessing prescription pills and a hypodermic needle, and of fleeing from police through a yard and a wooded area.
Andre Machate, 41, of St. James was arrested Nov. 16 in Smithtown and charged with fourth degree grand larceny and petit larceny. Machate allegedly stole a 2001 Honda motorcycle from Ace Auto Wreckers on Long Island Avenue in Deer Park. He is also accused of stealing cash from a male victim on Lake Avenue in St. James.

Nausheen Qureshi, 23, of Deer Park was arrested Nov. 16 in Smithtown and charged with second degree possession of a forged instrument. Qureshi allegedly brought a forged prescription form to a Rite Aid in Babylon.
Paul Anderson, 53, of Central Islip was arrested Nov. 13 in Smithtown and charged with petit larceny. He is accused of stealing a main breaker panel from Home Depot on Crooked Hill Road.
Mark Sauer, 30, of Nesconset was arrested Nov. 12 in Nesconset and charged with fifth degree possession of marijuana. Sauer was arrested at the intersection of Smithtown Bypass and Terry Road, allegedly with marijuana in public view.
William Stover, 56, of East Setauket was arrested Nov. 12 in St. James and charged with operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs. He is accused of being under the influence of a prescription medication when he was involved in an accident in a 1994 Ford.
Joseph Hill, 28, of Hauppauge was arrested Nov. 11 in Smithtown and charged with second degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle. Hill was arrested on New Mill Road while driving a 2007 Audi A4, allegedly with a license he knew was suspended.
Frank Richards, 22, of Nesconset was arrested Nov. 10 at his home in Nesconset and charged with second degree harrassment and resisting arrest. Richards is accused of shoving a police officer in an attempt to flee after being found with what reports indicate were pills, a hypodermic instrument and marijuana while officers were serving a bench warrant for his arrest.
Peter Vardouniotis, 30, of Smithtown was arrested Nov. 10 at his home in Smithtown and charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in property damage. He is accused of striking a 2003 Honda with a 1998 Nissan while traveling westbound on Jericho Turnpike.
Jordan Brady, 21, of Smithtown was arrested Nov. 10 in Smithtown and charged with seventh degree possession of a controlled substance. He is accused of possessing a pill and marijuana at the intersection of Route 25A and Terry Road.
