Crime Report: DWI Charges, Grand Larceny Charges, and Leaving the Scene of MVA

A blotter of the latest arrests and incidents in the Fourth Precinct.

Suffolk County Police Department Fourth Precinct reported these arrests and incidents in Smithtown during Feb. 22-March 1:

Laura Brooks, 28, of Nesconset was arrested March 1 in Hauppauge and charged with fourth degree grand larceny. Reports state Brooks was arrested at the fourth precinct in an allegedly jewelry theft at a residence. 

Stephen Pennachio, 50, of Nesconset was arrested Feb. 28 in Nesconset and charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. Reports state Pennachio was arrested at his home for a crash that occurred Feb. 20, at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Eklund Blvd., Nesconset after he allegedly fled the scene.

JohnMontuori, III, 26, of Ronkonkoma was arrested Feb. 27 in Smithtown and charged with DWI. Reports state Montuori was traveling between Main St. and Maple Ave., Smithtown at approximately 3:40 a.m. when he was allegedly driving while intoxicated.

John Unger, 49, of Ronkonkoma was arrested Feb. 27 in Smithtown and charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. Reports state Unger was arrested at 345 Smithtown Blvd. at approximately 8:15 p.m. for a crash that occurred Feb. 6.  Reports indicate he allegedly fled the scene of the crash.

Duncan Lent, 19, of Nesconset was arrested Feb. 27 in Nesconset and charged with first offense DWI. Reports state he was traveling southbound on County Rd. 16, Nesconset in his 1996 Jeep when he was allegedly driving while intoxicated. 

Kristen Clyne, 27, of Smithtown was arrested Feb. 27 in Nesconset and charged with first offense DWI. Reports state Clyne was traveling westbound on County Rd. 16 in Nesconset when she was allegedly operating her 1998 Jeep while intoxicated. 

Derek D’Ambrosio, 20, of Smithtown was arrested Feb. 26 in Smithtown and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, fifth degree criminal possession of marijuana, and unlawful use of fireworks. Reports state at approximately 10 a.m., D’Ambrosio was allegedly in possession of alprazolam drug, marijuana, and fireworks.    

Robert Falkowski, 32, of Smithtown was arrested Feb. 24 in Smithtown and charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. Reports state Falkowski was arrested at the fourth precinct for a crash that occurred Feb. 16 at approximately 8:40 p.m. at 17 Hunter Place, Smithtown. Reports indicate he allegedly fled the scene of the crash. 

Amanda Gleason, 20, of Ronkonkoma was arrested Feb. 23 in Smithtown and charged with fourth degree grand larceny. Reports state Gleason allegedly used someone else’s credit card to purchase fuel. 

None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed above. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  If any of the above charges have been acquitted, in order for removal from publication, one must email the editor and provide proof of dismissal.
