Crime Report: Graffiti Charges, Stolen Items and Illegal Speeding Contest

A blotter of the latest arrests and incidents in the Fourth Precinct.

Suffolk County Police Department Fourth Precinct reported these arrests and incidents in Smithtown during Dec. 11—17:   

Luis Guzman, Jr., 17, of Smithtown, and Daniel Aleman, 17, of Brentwood were arrested Dec. 13 in Smithtown and charged with second degree robbery.  Reports state both Guzman and Aleman punched a female victim and forcibly took a bag containing money and a laptop. 

Andrys Guerrero, 16, of Central Islip was arrested Dec. 13 in Smithtown and charged with criminal mischief and second degree menacing.  Reports state Guerrero was arrested at Route 454 in Smithtown after throwing a weapon at a female victim.

Brandon Bustamante, 17, of Bayshore was arrested Dec. 12 in Smithtown and charged with making graffiti.  Reports state Bustamante was arrested at Route 454 in Smithtown after drawing something at Marines Kitchen with a marker. 

Michael Pellegrino, 27, of Nesconset was arrested Dec. 11 in Smithtown and charged with illegal speeding and DWI.  Reports state Pellegrino was arrested at the Smithtown Bypass and Nesconset Highway after illegally speeding in a contest while intoxicated.

None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed above. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  If any of the above charges have been acquitted, in order for removal from publication, one must write the writer and provide proof of dismissal.
