Crime Report: Harassment Charges, Stolen Jewelry and DWI Charges

A blotter of the latest arrests and incidents in the Fourth Precinct.

Suffolk County Police Department Fourth Precinct reported these arrests and incidents in Smithtown during Jan. 13—21:

Brian Pettit, 29, of Nesconset was arrested Jan. 18 in Hauppauge and charged with aggravated harassment. 

Robert Burke, 53, of Kings Park was arrested Jan. 17 in Smithtown and charged with second degree criminal contempt.

Nicholas Galante, 58, of Nesconset was arrested Jan. 17, in Nesconset and charged with third degree narcotics. Reports state Galante had criminal sale of a controlled substance. 

A sixteen year old female from Smithtown was arrested Jan. 17 in Lake Grove and charged with petit larceny. Reports state she stole assorted jewelry from the JC Penny located in the Smithaven Mall.

Anthony Iannotti, 41, of Smithtown was arrested Jan. 16 in Smithtown and charged with first offense DWI. Reports state Iannotti was arrested on Route 111 in Smithtown after operating his 2004 Chevy van while intoxicated.    

Cindy Hernandez, 20, of Brentwood was arrested Jan. 14 in Smithtown and charged with first offense DWI. Reports state Hernandez was arrested at Route 347 in Smithtown after operating a 2005 Nissan Altima while intoxicated.   

Brian Desimone, 26, of St. James was arrested Jan. 14 in St. James and charged with fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon. Reports state Desimone was in possession of a loaded firearm at his residence. 

Dena Plock, 35, of Smithtown was arrested Jan. 14 in Smithtown and charged with assault. Reports state Plock was arrested after hitting an unknown person.  

Theresa Davin, 56, of Port Jefferson was arrested Jan. 13 in Smithtown and charged with second degree criminal contempt. 

Shane Decamp, 38, of St. James was arrested Jan. 13 in Smithtown and charged with third degree assault. Reports state Decamp was arrested in Smithtown after throwing an unknown person to the ground. 

None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed above. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  If any of the above charges have been acquitted, in order for removal from publication, one must write the writer and provide proof of dismissal.
