Crime Report: Man Hits Person with Glass Bottle, Hospitalizes Victim

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Suffolk County Police Department Fourth Precinct reported these arrests and incidents in Smithtown during Nov. 18-24.

Tony Romero, 25, of Smithtown, was arrested on Nov. 23 at 4 a.m. in Smithtown on assault with intent to cause physical injury charges, a misdemeanor. Reports state Romero was arrested on Manor Road after striking a person across the forehead with a glass bottle. The victim was brought to the hospital and received five staples to close the laceration, according to police.

Kerri Salinas, 31, of East Patchogue, was arrested on Nov. 20 on fourth degree grand larceny charges, a felony. Reports state Salinas stole a Shell gas station credit card from her job and used it to make purchases for a period of six months.
