Crime Report: Nesconset Man Allegedly Breaks into Two Homes

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Suffolk County Police Department reported these arrests and incidents in Smithtown:

Anthony Donato, 24, of Coram, was arrested Aug.20  and charged for assault with intent to cause physical injury. According to police, Donato struck someone in the head on East Main Street in Smithtown. The victim had to be sent to St. Catherine's of Siena Medical Center to be treated for injuries. 

James Ramunni, 24, of Nesconset, was arrested Aug. 20 and charged for burglary and third-degree grand larceny. Police said on Aug. 10 Ramunni broke through a screen and into a residency on Lincoln Avenue in Nesconset. On Aug. 18, Ramunni was charged with grand larceny when he broke into a home on Old Nicol's Road, where he stole cash and a set of car keys, according to police. Ramunni then allegedly stole a 2010 Honda Civic, to which the car keys belonged on Aug. 19.
