Police: Burglar Broke into Two Businesses Within 20 Minutes

A Massachusetts man was arrested Sunday after police say he burglarized two East Northport businesses, one less than 20 minutes after the other.

According to police, Frank Dandraia, 39, of Natick, broke into Karma Salon and Spa, located on Larkfield Road, Dec. 1 at 6:25 a.m, by using a screwdriver to pry open the back door. He then stole cash from the business and proceeded next door to do the same to Changing Times Ale House at 6:41 a.m.

Police said that Dandraia was also found carrying a substantial amount of cocaine.

He was arrested and charged with two counts of burglary in the third degree, a felony punishable by up to seven years in state prison. He was also charged with possession of burglary tools and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Man Arrested in Gas Station Hit-and-Run

Suffolk County Police arrested a Westbury man Friday in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a Sunoco employee in Huntington in February.

Michael Charles was charged with leaving the scene of an incident without reporting resulting in serious physical injury. 

Police: 4 Women Stole Faucets From Commack Home Depot

Four women were arrested Nov. 19 at Home Depot in Commack when they allegedly stole faucets from the home improvement store. Wnedy Booker, 41, of Wyndanch; Debra Pure, 49, of Farmingdale; Chandra Alker, 48, of Bay Shore and Gina DiDomenico, 26, of Lyndenhurst were charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, a felony, after police said they stole the equipment from the Jericho Turnpike store at 11:42 a.m.
