Crimes Nearby: Fertilizer Stolen from Commack Home Depot

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Suffolk County police reported the following arrests.

Kings Park

Donald Rieger, 47, of Kings Park, was charged on April 25, with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police said Rieger was in Brentwood when he was found to be in possession of drugs.

Brian Tyrell ,37, of Kings Park, was charged on April 25, with driving a vehicle while impaired. Police said Tyrell was on Motor Parkway when he struck a 2011 Honda.

Chris Harbourn, 43, of Kings Park was charged on April 21, with smoking marijuana in public view. Police said the incident occurred in Islandia.

Three Village

Suffolk County police are seeking an unknown person who broke into Jake Starr Café in Stony Brook and stole an empty cash register and an envelope containing cash. According to a police report, a white male kicked in the door of the restaurant sometime between 11 p.m. on April 20 and 3 a.m. on April 21. Police said the burglar made away with $1,500 in cash.

Kevin Clasen, 32, of Selden, was arrested April 26 in South Setauket and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. According to police, Clasen illegally possessed prescription medications in a vehicle at the corner of Chester Street and Bellewood Ave. in Setauket.

Hauppauge

John Lagrega, 26, from Hauppauge was charged with petit larceny on April 25. Police said Lagrega stole a tool box from Mike’s Auto Parts on 3084 Jericho Turnpike in Elwood.

Frank Bonilla, 22, of Lake Grove was charged on April 26, with criminal sale of a contolled substance in Hauppauge. Police said Bonilla was charged with two counts of 2nd degree sale of a controlled substance and six charges of selling a controlled substance in the 3rd degree.

Chris Harbourn, 43, of Kings Park was charged  on April 21, with smoking marijuana in public view. Police said the incident occurred in Islandia.

Commack

Emilio Boccardo, 36, of Huntington, was arrested April 23 in Commack and charged with petit larceny. Boccardo was arrested for allegedly stealing various items from Home Depot on Jericho Turnpike including a faucet and a bag of fertilizer, according to police reports.

Kenneth Slizewski, of New York City, was arrested April 25 in Commack and charged with first-degree rape, fourth-degree grand larceny of stealing property from a person and resisting arrest. Police would not release further details to protect the victim.

Port Jefferson

Kenneth Rongo, 28, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested on April 26 on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police said he was arrested in front of Orville Drive in Ronkonkoma around 2:50 p.m. Rongo was arrested at 12:46 a.m. the following day on petit larceny charges. According to police, Rongo was in possession of an iPhone that belonged to someone else while on Montauk Highway in Patchogue.

Miller Place-Rocky Point

Joseph Berendowski, 61, of Mt. Sinai, was arrested April 27 in Mt. Sinai and charged with petty larceny. Berendowski allegedly stole two bottles of wine from Bella Maria Restaurant in Coram.

Luanne McLaughlin, 52, of Rocky Point, was arrested April 24 in Rocky Point and charged with petty larceny. McLaughlin was allegedly in possession of a pair of shoes, pair of sunglasses and assorted jewelry which she took from in Rocky Point without paying.

Daniel Russ, 26, of Rocky Point, was arrested April 23 in Selden and charged with petty larceny. Russ was arrested at Route 25A in Selden for allegedly taking a pocketbook and cash.

Northport

A hit and run accident occurred Eatons Neck Road on April 28 around 4 a.m. Northport and Suffolk County Police helped canvass the area and provide traffic control until sufficient Suffolk units arrived. At around 6 a.m. Northport PD assisted with traffic control for an unoccupied overturned car.

A woman on Scudder Avenue reported the loss of 12, self made, Zodiac paintings on April 24. She told police that she placed the paintings under her couch about two months ago and now they are gone.
