Suffolk County police reported the following arrests.

Commack

Joseph Scappatore, 19, of East Northport was arrested Jan. 21 in Commack and charged with first offense DWI. He was stopped after allegedly making an unsafe turn in a 2009 Chevrolet on Rt. 25 at 2 a.m.

Devine Ross, 25, of Deer Park was arrested Jan. 20 in Commack and charged with first offense DWI. Reports state Ross was stopped for speeding while driving eastbound on Rt. 25 at 3:20 a.m.

Hauppauge

Andreas Dambakakis, 30, of Nesconset was arrested on Jan. 26  and charged with one count of third-degree robbery for allegedly robbing People's United Bank that morning. Suffolk County police said a man entered People's United Bank on Smithtown Boulevard in Nesconset at 8:41 a.m. Tuesday. The man approached a teller and handed over a note stating he had a gun and wanted cash, instructing the teller to fill his black messenger bag. The man then fled the bank on foot. The exact amount stolen was not disclosed.

Three Village

Stephen Fogarty, 22, was arrested Jan. 23 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with first-offense DWI. Fogarty allegedly struck a car parked in a lot on Route 112 at 12:50 a.m.

Nicholas Dimuzio, 20, of Stony Brook, was arrested Jan. 20 and charged with unlawfully dealing with a child, first degree – alcohol. According to a police report, Dimuzio was bartending at Comiskey's Park in St. James when he allegedly served an alcoholic drink to a minor.

Port Jefferson

Rita Pierro, 52, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested on Jan. 22 at 5:30 p.m. in Port Jefferson Station on charges of leaving the scene of an accident. Pierro was reportedly driving south on Boyle Road when she allegedly crashed into another vehicle and a utility pole then left the scene.

Stephen Fogarty, 22, of East Setauket, was arrested on Jan. 23 at 1:32 a.m. in Port Jefferson Station on charges of first offense DWI. Fogarty was driving a Honda CRV on Route 112 when he allegedly hit a parked car, which caused his car to overturn.

Cara Fenoy, 29, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested on Jan. 24 in Holtsville on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Fenoy was parked in a car in the Marriot Hotel parking lot in Holtsville while allegedly in possession of a controlled substance.

Brian Hallanhan, 21, of Port Jefferson, was arrested on Jan. 24 at Route 347 and Woodhull Avenue in Port Jefferson Station on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Aaron Taveras, 22, from Deer Park was arrested in East Northport on Jan. 28 and charged with petty larceny after he allegedly stole clothing from .

John Azzara, 47, from Lake Ronkonkoma was arrested in East Northport on Jan. 25 and charged with petty larceny after he allegedly stole $131 worth of gum from .

Paul LaPorta, Jr., 35, from Wantagh was arrested in East Northport on Jan. 25 and charged with petty larceny after he allegedly stole bandages, tape, and an iPod docking station from CVS.
