An early morning accident involving two trucks resulted in a downed telephone pole on Route 25 in Smithtown, closing the road.
Verizon employees at the scene said the work could take “a couple hours” to complete.
Workers from Verizon, Cablevision and LIPA are on the scene repairing power lines downed as a result of the accident, east of Hemlock Lane. Route 25 is closed from Route 111 to .
