Early Morning Crash in St. James Causes Delays on Lake Avenue
Drivers sent to Stony Brook Medical Center with minor injuries.
A collision between a Jeep and a Bobcat caused delays on Lake Avenue early Monday morning.
According to police, the Jeep was travelling southbound on Lake Avenue at roughly 7:30 a.m. and collided with a Bobcat as it approached Roseville Avenue. Police said visibility of the Jeep was impaired due to ice and condensation on the windshield.
The reason for the Bobcat to be on the roadway has not been disclosed.

Both the driver of the Jeep and the Bobcat were brought to Stony Brook Medical center and treated for minor back and neck injuries.
Police said the driver of the Jeep was also ticketed for having an uninspected vehicle and an insurance violation.
