Female Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle in Nesconset, Vehicle Fled Scene

Suffolk Police said a female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, which fled the scene of the accident early Friday morning.

A vehicle struck an unnamed female pedestrian in Nesconset early Friday morning and fled the scene of the accident, according to the Suffolk County Police Department Fourth Precinct.

According to police, the incident took place on Woodview Drive near Nichols Road in Nesconset at approximately 12:45 a.m. The unnamed female pedestrian was struck by a Ford Explorer, which fled the scene. Police said she suffered minor injuries.

The police investigation of the accident is ongoing.
