Home Fire Under Investigation by Police Arson Squad

Fire took place May 2; cause of the fire not yet determined.

The Suffolk County Police Arson Squad is currently investigating a Smithtown house fire that took place May 2.

According to police, the home at 136 Landing Meadow Road was vacant at the time the call of a fire was received. Police said a neighbor saw flames inside the home and proceeded to call 911.

The Smithtown Fire Department was also called to the scene. Calls to the fire department were not immediately returned.
