Kitchen Fire Leaves Four Dogs, Two Birds Dead

Fire starts in kitchen and moves throghout a house at Croft Lane and Old Willets Path.

A house fire Thursday morning left four dogs and two exotic birds dead from the smoke.

According to the Smithtown Fire Department, firefighters responded to a fire call at 8:54 a.m. at Croft Lane and Old Willets Path. The fire took place in the kitchen and spread throughout other areas in the home.

Cause of the fire is currently unknown.
