Nesconset Man Killed in Early Morning Motor Vehicle Accident
Suffolk County Police said Robert Puerta of Nesconset was walking on Ocean Avenue in Ronkonkoma when he was struck by a vehicle Saturday morning.
Nesconset resident Robert Puerta, 25, was killed in an early morning motor vehicle accident Saturday in Ronkonkoma, according to the Suffolk County Police Department Fourth Precinct.
According to police, Puerta was hit by a 2007 Cadillac Escalade driven by a Middle Island resident as he was walking southbound on Ocean Avenue, just north of Michigan Street at 2:07 a.m. Puerta was taken to Stony Brook University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 2:50 a.m.
An investigation of the accident by the Suffolk County Police Department Fourth Precinct is underway.
