Police: Centereach, Selden Men Raced Cars on Main Street

Two men were arrested Wednesday and charged with unlawful speed contest after racing cars on Main Street, police said.

Antonio Numa, 18, of Centereach, and Joshua McKasty, 21, of Selden, were arrested in Smithtown Wednesday after a fourth precinct police officer on patrol caught them racing cars on Main Street, police said.

According to police, Numa, who was driving a Mercedes E 500, and McKasty, who was driving a Honda Civic, were racing cars westbound on Main Street near Landing Avenue at approximately 1:15 a.m.

Numa and McKasty were charged with unlawful speed contest and arraigned Wednesday in First District Court.
