Police: Child Porn Found in Smithtown Man's Computer, iPhone

New York State Police search the man's home May 1; to be arraigned in Suffolk Criminal Court.

New York State Police have arrested a Smithtown man who was found with digital photos and videos with underage children performing sexual acts, according to police.

Police said Sean Murphy, 27, of Smithtown, was arrested after they received a cyber tip through the Internet Crime Against Children hotline, showing he was in possession of the photos and videos, identified through his computer account. Murphy's home was investigated in May 1 after police obtained a search warrant where an iPhone, several computers and computer storage mediums were searched, and the search from the Computer Crimes Units found photos and files, police said.

Police said Murphy knew none of the children depicted in the files.
