A driver was allegedly on drugs when she crossed over a double yellow line and crashed into oncoming traffic in Smithtown on Friday.
According to police, Rachel Shavzin, 30, of Commack, was driving a 2012 Honda Accord on Old Willets Path in Smithtown when she started driving the opposite direction and crashed her vehicle into an oncoming car.
Shavzin was taken to St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center. Police did not have information regarding the other driver's condition.
Shavzin was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs in the first degree.
