UPDATE: 8 p.m.: Three people suffered minor injuries but were not taken to nearby hospitals in a three-car crash on Townline Road in Hauppauge on Friday.
According to police, a car hit the bumper of another car causing a chain reaction of crashes at 5:37 p.m. Two of the three vehicles involved in the accident were towed.
