A Queens man pulled over for speeding on the Long Island Expressway early Saturday morning was drunk and his two young daughters were passengers in his car, police said.
According to police, Highway Patrol Sgt. Vincent Urwand observed a 1995 Chevrolet traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on the LIE in Brentwood at about 1 a.m.
Urwand pulled over the vehicle and determined the driver, David Bellamy, 54, was intoxicated, police said. Bellamy’s four and five-year-old daughters were also in the vehicle.

Bellamy, of the Corona neighborhood in Queens, was arrested and transported to the Fourth Precinct where he was charged with aggravated DWI with a child passenger 15 years old or younger, a felony under Leandra’s Law, DWI and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Bellamy was held overnight and was arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Central Islip. He is being held on $30,000 cash bail or $60,000 bond.
