Police Seeking Suspect In Subway, Hess Robberies

Armed gunman has hit Nesconset Subway among other businesses since Dec. 9.

Suffolk County Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a suspect involved in 14 armed robberies, many of which hit Subway, Hess and 7-Eleven locations in Nesconset, Lake Ronkonkoma, Ronkonkoma, Medford, Patchogue and North Patchogue among others since Dec. 9.

Police say the suspect is armed with a handgun during the robberies. The suspect described as a male, possibly Hispanic, between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches in height, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored scarf and mask covering his face. The suspect steals cash from the businesses, and then flees the scene on foot, police said.

  • Subway at 600-7 Portion Road in Lake Ronkonkoma on Dec. 29 and Jan. 7.

  • Subway at 173 Smithtown Boulevard in Nesconset on Jan. 3.

  • 7-Eleven at 2810 Route 112 in Medford on Jan. 3.

  • Hess at 1801 North Ocean Ave. in Farmingville on Dec. 31.

  • Subway at 402 Route 112 in North Patchogue on Dec. 28.

  • Hess Express at 440 Portion Road in Ronkonkoma on Dec. 26.

  • Hess located at 3203 Route 112 in Medford on Dec. 15.

  • Subway at 2920 Route 112 in Medford on Dec. 9 and 11.

  • Mobil on the Run at 3239 Sunrise Highway in Islip Terrace on Jan. 7.

  • Royal Market at 451 Glen Drive in Shirley on Jan. 2.

  • Carvel at 536 Main St. in Center Moriches on Jan. 1.

  • Sunoco at 3423 Route 112 in Coram on Dec. 25.

  • Police are asking anyone with information on these incident to please anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
