Smithtown Woman Arrested for DWI, Speeding on Sagtikos Parkway

Linda Camps was pulled over for driving 140 mph in a 55 mph zone, then failed sobriety tests given by state troopers.

A Smithtown woman was arrested for DWI and other traffic violations early Saturday morning after being pulled over for driving 140 miles per hour on Sagtikos Parkway, then failing sobriety tests.

According to New York State Police, Linda Camps, 54, was stopped by state troopers in a white Cadillac for driving 140 mph in a 55 mph zone on Sagtikos Parkway at approximately 12:30 a.m. When being interviewed by troopers, an odor of alcohol was detected. Camps failed sobriety tests and produced a positive blood alcohol content level of .16 percent.
