A St. James woman was one of three women arrested Thursday in an illegitimate Patchogue massage parlor, the result of an undercover investigation by Suffolk County Police.
According to police, Justine Rittman, 26, of St. James, was arrested on a charge of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
Police said officers determined an illegal massage parlor was being operated out of a second-floor Patchogue apartment where prostitution was also taking place during their 4:05 p.m. undercover investigation. During the investigation massage tables, oils, a computer and money were seized.
Ashley Jimenez, 26, of Ridge, and Dawn Collins, 23, of Central Islip, were also arrested on charges of unlicensed practice of a profession in the New York State Education Law for being an unlicensed massage therapist, a felony; and prostitution, a misdemeanor.
All three women were held overnight and will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Friday, police said.
