Thieves Break Into Two Jericho Turnpike Stores
Elliegant Hair Designs and Quarg's Buy, Sell & Trade robbed on Sunday night.
A thief may be walking around with used electronics and a new hairdo after breaking into two Jericho Turnpike stores.
Suffolk County police said they received an alert at 3 a.m. Sunday that an alarm had gone off at Quag's Buy, Sell & Trade at 975 West Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown.
A thief had used a large rock to smash in the front door to gain entry to the retail store to take a camera, iPhone, two iPods and cash. The exact amount of cash stolen was not disclosed by police.
An employee of Elliegant Hair Designs, also located in the 975 West Jericho Turnpike shopping center, reported 9 a.m. Sunday the hair salon had also been broken into, according to police. A thief had broken the doors, stealing cash and various hair products overnight.
No one has been arrested in connections with these two break-ins.
