Two People in Hospital After Early Morning Accident

Two people are at Stony Brook University Medical Center following the accident, condition currently unknown.

Two people were taken to Stony Brook University Medical Center following an accident early Saturday morning.

According to the Smithtown Fire Department, firefighters responded to a 3:28 a.m. call of an accident at the intersection of Route 347 and Route 111. Firefighters removed the doors and roof off a Nissan that hit a utility pole to remove the driver and passenger, both pinned in the car.

Condition of the driver and passenger is unknown.
