**** UPDATE 11/2/2012**** In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, the Town of Smithtown Emergency Operations Center is running at full capacity coordinating the Town's response effort to the effects of the storm. The Emergency Operations Center has Arranged for the distribution of ice and charging station for cell phones for residents of Smithtown. For those residents of Smithtown in need of ice, a tractor-trailer will be distributing ice at Smithtown Town Hall, 99 West Main Street, Smithtown, at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 3rd. A cell-phone charging station has been established at Town Hall, as well. The charging station is available TODAY until 5:00 p.m. Residents are also reminded that household garbage pick-up will resume on Monday, November 5th.
