Retail at the Lumberyard: What Do You Want to See?

Nassau Suffolk Lumber and Supply Corp. could be turned into two buildings with one having open retail space.

It would appear as if there is some progress being made at the former home to Nassau Suffolk Lumber and Supply Corp. on Smithtown's Main Street with sketches from its developer recently being posted in the windows.

Smithtown's Planning Director Frank DeRubeis said the developer, South Fork Management, would like to divide the property into two buildings, one of which would be 30 feet off of West Main Street and used for retail space on the first floor and apartments on the second and third floors.

If this were to come to fruition, what would you like to see occupying the retail space? Let us know in the comments.
