Your Turn to Decide Between Vecchio and Creighton
Who has your vote in Tuesday's primaries? Tell us.
Smithtown voters will cast their ballots Tuesday to choose who has the chance to run for Town of Smithtown supervisor this November.
Supervisor Patrick Vecchio and Councilman Robert Creighton will face off Tuesday at the polls in both the the Republican and Conservative primaries.
In the Republican primary, Vecchio won the Smithtown Republican's endorsement in a tight vote in May, but Creighton submitted petitions to force a September runoff.
In the Conservative primary, Creighton has the Conservative Party endorsement. Vecchio has launched a write-in campaign, looking to reclaim the Conservative line on November's ballot. Voters can write down "Patrick R. Vecchio" on write-in line to vote for him as the Conservative candidate.
